The Changemakers Series

Watch the Changemakers series on YouTube

Join the NHC Office of Diversity and Equity as we kick-off a year long series entitled “Changemakers”. Each session will feature a panel discussion around local individuals and their amazing stories of overcoming challenges, helping change lives and our community.

The first session will feature Cape Fear Museum historian, Jan Davidson and six local residents who will help us explore the history of race relations in NHC and their personal stories.

February’s Featured Changemakers

  • Francine DeCoursey & Stacy Smith Gause - a Big Buddy advocate, mentors a set of twins living in Wilmington’s Inner-city and learns to navigate discrimination and cultural differences for more than 37 years.
