Cape Fear Museum at One Hundred and Twenty Five

Join Cape Fear Museum staff as we commemorate 125 years of serving the community. Learn how the Museum began in Spring 1898 and hear how we have changed and grown into the region’s premier history and science destination.

Welcome from Museum Director Wayne LaBar at 2:15 pm followed by remarks from County Manager Chris Coudriet. Historian Dr. Jan Davidson will then share a brief history of the Museum. Remarks will be followed by light refreshments and cake.

Attendees are invited to see a display of artifacts from various decades that are rarely on view to the public, explore the exhibitions and participate in special birthday activities in the Exploration Station. We also encourage visitors to share their favorite Museum memories and stories on our feedback board.

We look forward to seeing you as we mark the 125^th anniversary of Cape Fear Museum!
