NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC — August 30, 2023 — New Hanover County will delay opening county offices and attractions until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, in response to expected impacts from Hurricane Idalia. Essential emergency services will continue to operate as usual.
Courts and Courthouses will be closed in New Hanover and Pender Counties on Thursday, August 31. They will resume their normal schedule on Friday, September 1.
The New Hanover County Commission for Women regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 at 4 p.m. has been canceled.
