Due to the unpredictable nature of animals, Airlie does not allow pets in the Gardens. Pets are not conducive towards our focus on water quality, wildlife, visitor comfort and manicured horticulture.
Fishing and kayaking are not daily experiences offered at the gardens. We do offer kayaking and fishing programs through the Environmental Education Program. Please check the events calendar to view a list of our scheduled programs.
Airlie Gardens does not offer food service. The gift shop does carry small snacks and there is a drink vending machine located outside the gift shop. Please visit the Garden Services Center to view a collection of menus from area restaurants. Within one mile of the Gardens there are 15 restaurants. We are glad to call any restaurant to see if they offer call-ahead seating and make a reservation for you.
Airlie is predominantly a walking experience, but many of our paths and gardens are easily accessible by wheelchair. Thanks to funding from two local foundations, we also offer an Accessibility Tram. On scheduled days, the tram drives a route around the gardens. You can get on and off the tram at your leisure. There are six tram stops in the gardens.
