1. Is the Arboretum free to visit, and if not what is the cost and where do I buy tickets?

The Arboretum is free to visit and a ticket is not normally required. Occasionally, the Arboretum may have a ticketed special event and ticket information can be found on the event page, or on the Arboretum homepage under Events.

2. Can I take my wedding / engagement / family / prom photos at the Arboretum?

Yes, we’d love to help you celebrate your special occasion! During regular business hours, there is no fee to use the gardens for your session. A photography permit is not required unless for a commercial shoot. If you, or your photographer, wish to have access to the property after hours there is a fee and a request should be submitted via the online form.

3. Is the Arboretum accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes! There are a number of parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities. Benches are located throughout the gardens for any of our guests who would like a place to sit and rest and the majority of the paths are paved or compact gravel and suitable for wheelchairs or walkers.

4. Can I take a tour?

Yes, tours are offered by our Extension Master Gardener Volunteers. Tours are offered at no cost. Please complete a tour request form and a master gardener will be in touch to schedule a tour.

5. Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome, as long as you remember:

• Dogs must always be on a leash.
• Don't forget to pick up after them! Waste bags are available at a few locations on site (please also bring your own bags), and trash cans are accessible throughout the property.

6. Are there picnic tables on site?

Yes, the Arboretum has 2 picnic areas.

The first is located towards the rear of the gardens between the Camellia Walk and the Japanese Garden and is shaded by trees. The 2nd location is beside the greenhouse and has no shade though the 3 tables each have an umbrella. Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are other smaller groups of tables and chairs located around the property that are also available for use on a first come first served basis.

7. Is smoking permitted?

For the health of our visitors, we are a smoke and vapor-free environment.

8. Where are the restrooms?

Restrooms are available in the Hutaff Center on weekdays between 10 am and 4 pm. Outside those hours there is a restroom beside the greenhouse.
